Meeting People from Online

So, even though this is a BBW/BHM site, I still have this fear that if I find someone on here that I just really hit it off with, and we meet, that they'll see me and be disappointed. I know it's an irrational fear. If I were to meet someone at the grocery store, I wouldn't be fearful because they met me as ME. Not a good picture and some words on a website. I'm not sure if i'm making any sense! But does anyone else feel that way?

`Lookin. I totally agree. It almost makes you want to end a good online friendship when things start to get heated because you are afraid of getting hurt in person. I think the wonderful thing about this site is so many women freely post accurate pictures of their bodies. I've only gotten the nerve to post waist high pics. I'm still nervous that I'm TOO fat for BBW admirers. Isn't that nuts? Screw society for instilling this horrible thought process into us. But the good news is, the longer I'm on here, the more confidant I feel. I'd say, go balls out and post a great, proud, accurate full body shot of your sexy self. NOBODY will judge you here. You will feel better meeting people IRL because they've seen the "real you". Plus the worst that can happen is if someone isn't into you, they wont contact you. No harm, no foul. I should take my own advice, lol.

`I'm bad about not taking my own advice as well! You're totally right..if you put everything out there, then there's nothing hidden. I haven't posted anything other than headshots yet. I'll get there! I've met some pretty cool people on here..but I don't want to take it past the friendship part right now because I just don't want a bad experience. So why am I here at all? I need to suck it up!

I feel exactly the same way...I'm always afraid of taking that initial "meeting" step because I'm scared that the guy will be seeing something they don't want. I have met a few guys from online before, some worked out, and some didn't. I think it goes back to the confidence thing (as I feel it usually does), just know that you are beautiful and no one has the right to get you down! A lot of times that is easier said than done, for me anyway!
But I say if you have been talking to someone on here for a good amount of time and feel there is some connection, don't be afraid to take it to the meeting step. As daddysdddgirl said, the worst that can happen is they won't be into you, but if you have both been honest with each other this whole time, then chances are things will work out, and if nothing else you should be able to have a really great friendship!

lol i know what you mean.that's why it is always good to be upfront in your profile.it may scare some off,but the people that really want to meet you will stay around. that's why it's good to do a full body pic,just to get it out there.but even then meeting someone in person is different i agree.like you say seeing someone in a grocery store they know what you look like,you talk to them,you get an over-all feeling of what the other person is really like,and the same happens on your end too.lol and judging from your pics,they would have to be an idiot to be disspapointed,i know i wouldn't be.
